Framing a Subject
Orange Attack
Framed
1. I think I made a good composition in "Orange Attack," with the black and orange contrast. The frame itself was black and it matched with Jasper's hoodie while contrasting with the orange that pops out. The white hat matches the brightness of the orange. The composition in "Framed" also was good as the vibrant colors behind the dark frame and hoodie, popped out and made the contrast look good. The composition in "Fore!!!" was kind of bland, but that's due to our campus being all white and looking like a prison. However, Declan being in the golf cart as the subject created okay composition.
2. I think I edited the photos really well. The "Orange Attack" photo is probably one of the best photos I ever took. The editing just made the colors look better as I added a vignette which made the subject (Jasper) more in the spotlight and focused. The vignette also created more contrast between the black and orange. "Framed" and "Fore" on the other hand were a little harder to edit. The colors on "Framed" looks a bit muddled and the colors in "FORE!!!" are kind of bland. The proportion and cropping of the three photos however are pretty good. The subjects are clear.
3. I would take "FORE!!!" in an area with more colors as the white on white on white doesn't look too good. I also would like to frame the camera itself and take the photo through the frame and just be more creative. In all three of my photos we found a frame and put our subject in the frame instead of mixing it up like putting our camera through the frame and taking a photo with it.
