1. The image is about the human essence connecting with nature. We as humans partake in activities that spark a flame in us; that makes us truly happy. Happiness cannot be sustained and only happens in short bursts of pure emotion. In this picture is shows how nature provides us with things such as a frozen lake and human essence takes us to do things like ice skate on the frozen lake which makes one happy as shown in the picture. This photo captures true happiness, something we cannot attain looking at our screens, only in nature.
2. I like how the mountains are in the background, and the subject the girl is smiling like she is happy, but not the type of happiness that makes you excited and energetic. It's the type of happiness that you sit mellow in, that makes you reminisce. It's like she's taking in the nature, the view and being happy from it.
3. You can see the texture of the ice and the texture of the mountains which is a principle of art. Uses proportion as the image is separated into 3 different layers that are proportionate to each other.
4. Completed her masters in Clinical Nutrition.
1. This image is about capturing the beautiful things in life and sharing it with others. You can see a group of people on top of a van/truck looking out into the distance where the sun is setting or rises and the clouds are forming these amazing shapes. It's about how our world is super beautiful and we as humans should enjoy it.
2. I really love this picture everything about it. When I'm 80 years old, I want to look back in my life and remember that I had a moment like this where I'm with my closest friends looking out into the distance and seeing something so beautiful like this. It's crazy how our world creates things like this. I love the human aspect of it, it's not just about nature, but about how we humans can enjoy nature and views like this.
3. Principle of art: color the sun reflecting, the violet, blueish colors coming together. Principle of design: movement, the clouds/tornadoes.
4. He spoke in a Ted talk.
1. This image is about things that can happen in our world, in nature. Lightning is hitting a volcano causes lava and magma to spill out of it. It really shows us how lucky things can happen in our lives. What are the mathematical chances that lightning hits a volcano and magma erupts from it.
2. I like how the photo itself is pretty dark so the lightning just really stands out and illuminates the rest of the photo. Everything is focused on the lighting and it really makes the color pop.
3. Principle of art: line, the lighting branching out and the line of lighting itself. Principe of design: balance, both sides of the photo are balances and coming together in the center where the lighting hits.
4. He won the 2014 , Nikkei National Geographic Photography Prize 2013 Grand Prix.
